Abstract

The research discussed the methods of preserving valuable buildings in Kuwait, where Kuwait is rich in a number of buildings and sites of historical, architectural, heritage and symbolic value ... and others, starting with the archaeological ruins dating back to the ancient societies that colonized the region since pre-Christian times, and passing through the remains of facilities that date back to To the first era of the founding of the State of Kuwait since the seventeenth century, and ending with the gates, palaces, homes and schools in the middle of the twentieth century, which is a cultural heritage that must be preserved, The research problem was confined to the absence of a clear mechanism for dealing with buildings of value, which made diligence in methods of preservation without controls and thus dealt with excessive randomness wasting the value of the building. As well as the decrees or decisions issued to organize the relevant works that do not amount to an integrated system or method for dealing with valuable buildings. The research concluded to reach a proposed mechanism for dealing with and preserving buildings of value in Kuwait in accordance with the relevant international frameworks and charters to raise the efficiency of the performance of the current methods of dealing, and to be a guide outlines for the policies of dealing with buildings of value in Kuwait.
